Bobby & Steve  (6-10am)

"Bobby & Steve" are the #1 wakeup crew for western Kentucky and southern Illinois. Bobby Cook has worked at WKYQ since 1977, except for 8 years on the air in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1990, Bobby was named America's radio personality of the year by the Country Music Association. In 1999, Bobby was nominated for the same award by the Academy of Country Music. Steve Schwetman returned to WKYQ from stints in Las Vegas and Hollywood, including radio shows, movie and TV appearances and standup comedy. There's a whole cast of characters trapped in Steve's head, and he lets 'em out every morning, 6 'til 10am on 93.3 WKYQ.

Dr. Jeff  (10am-3pm)

No, he doesn't own the furniture store!

Bear on the Air  (3-7pm)

Donna Groves, News

News Director Donna Groves knows Western Kentucky...she's a Lone Oak native and a Murray State graduate. The WKYQ news staff has racked up more awards than we have walls to hang them. ABC News named WKYQ as one of the six best radio news departments in America! Every year, the WKYQ news team brings home handfuls of awards from the Kentucky Associated Press competition.  In 2008, Donna received her 6th award as "Best Reporter in the State"!

Matt Ryan, News & Traffic

Matt is the afternoon anchor of the WKYQ news team.  He comes to us from southeast Missouri, and he specializes in great coverage of local stories, traffic tieups, and breaking weather.  Matt recenty was awarded the Kentucky Associated Press runnerup award in the "Best Reporter in the State" category, behind -- who else? -- Donna Groves!

Joe Jackson - News

In just a few short years, Joe Jackson has become one of the most trusted names in news. Joe graduated from Murray State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Journalism and a minor in political science. He's been with the WKYQ news department since 2004.   Joe scored top honors at the Kentucky AP Awards for "Best Political Coverage" in 2008.  When he’s not covering breaking news, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife, Leigh Ann, and his two sons, Peyton and Reece.

Kent King

Kent King has been on WKYQ for more than a quarter of a century! Kent started his radio career while at Paducah Tilghman High School. Kent conceived and created WKYQ's "Outlaw Hours," and supervised WKYQ's climb to the top of the radio ratings. Today, Kent directs WKYQ Traffic, with live regional updates every weekday morning. He's in constant contact with law enforcement and emergency agencies, ready to break in with instant reports on accidents and road closings. There's only one place to find out what's ahead on the highway. . .93.3 WKYQ!
